Jones Family

Jones and jenny appear to be a highly intelligent, purposeful, faithful, conscientious Christian couple with no children. Ian has many experiences that have gone into his call to adopt. He has highly educated parents who live nearby. He learned music, sports, and debate growing up. He traveled to South America three different summers to do mission work. Ian earned his Juris Doctorate in 2002 and a PhD in Theology from Fordham University in 2015. He was a course instructor at Fordham, as well as at St Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. He is currently employed as an Attorney for the Mississippi State Senate. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym and reading. He and his wife, Jenny, met on EHarmony in 2020. They married in 2021. Jenny worked four years in China in optometry before coming to the US. She has worked at Ohio State University where she earned a MS in Public Health. She received her Doctorate in 2013. She was then on the faculty at University of Alabama. Currently, she is employed as an Optometrist with Image Optical. While she lived and worked in Ohio, Jenny became friends with a couple and actually traveled to China as an interpreter for these Christian friends who were adopting. This has helped her gain an understanding of international adoption. In her free time, she enjoys attending a book study, cooking, and painting. All extended family are supportive of this adoption.

In their adoption testimony, the Jones write: “We have each known adopted children, and adults who were adopted as children, and we have seen the blessings, both to them and to their adoptive families, resulting from their parents’ decision to adopt. At times the many unknowns can feel overwhelming, but we remind ourselves that God calls us to be faithful one day at a time and equips us with what we need.”

The Jones’s Father at their church writes with the full support of their parish: “There is absolutely no doubt in my heart and mind that Ian and Jenny would have the ability to raise and love a child in a Christian way. Their marriage is strong and fruitful. I have personally helped them through struggles that often arise in a marriage, but their commitment to onen another is the Scriptural and Traditional bond that makes a marriage holy. There has been much prayer offered to the Holy Trinity that a child be given to the Jones’.”
